Weather Service seeking photos of 'Storm of the Century'

Three people died in Chiefland

The Winter Storm of '93, more commonly referred to as the "Storm of the Century," will be commemorated by the National Weather Service in Ruskin on March 12-13.
The Folks at the NWS Ruskin have asked Levy County Emergency Management Director Mark Johnson to reach out to the residents of Levy County who experienced this devastating winter storm to share any photos that they took of the storm damage in Levy County.

There are three ways to submit your photos:
1. Bring your photos to Levy County Emergency Management/Emergency Operations Center during normal working hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and the staff will scan them into the computer and information about the photo including your name, address and the location of the Levy County damage in the photo.
2. Email your scanned photos to Mark Johnson at markjohnson@levydisaster.com
Please include your name, and location of the Levy County damage.
3. You can mail copies of your photos to: Levy County Emergency Management,
P.O. Box 221, Bronson, FL 32621.
Again, Please include your name, and location of the Levy County damage

All Photo submissions must be given to us here at Levy County Emergency Management no later than Feb. 28.
