'Spring into Springs' coming to Manatee, Fanning Springs

-A A +A

Manatee and Fanning Springs State Parks will be holding the Third Annual “Spring into the Springs” event Saturday, March 11.

“Spring into the Springs” is a day to learn about two of Florida’s first magnitude springs. There will be interpretive wagon rides of the North Trail, a prescribed fire program, a springs question and answer program, a springs walk ‘n’ talk, and booths by organizations involved in springs protection. Visitors will leave with a greater understanding of the delicate balance of a North Florida Springs System.

The Event will begin at 9 a.m. and go until 4 p.m., with a film festival to follow from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The film festival will have guest speakers showing and explaining the complexities of the North Florida Springs Systems. This is an all-age event and is included in the price of the daily admission.

All activities have ADA accessible options. Please ask for assistance at the Friends of Manatee Springs Booth.
