New Directions Veterans Choir to perform Sunday

-A A +A

New Directions Veterans Choir – which includes formerly homeless U.S. military veterans – brings a message of hope and redemption to Gainesville when it performs at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at University Auditorium.

“Members of the New Directions Veterans Choir are all heroes in my eyes,” University of Florida Performing Arts director Michael Blachly said. “Several of the choir’s members are military veterans who became homeless due to the various challenges they faced upon return to the United States following their service. The New Directions Center in Southern California gave them hope and purpose to regain control of their lives. This group needs and has earned our respect and support.”
