Help buy van for challenged aide

Friends of Donna Sache Leggett are organizing a benefit chicken lunch and dinner on Nov. 9, to help the aide purchase equipment for a van that accommodates the challenges she faces and help with medical bills.

Leggett, a teacher's aide at Bronson Middle/High School, was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis — a neurological disorder caused by inflammation of the spinal cord — in 2009. She has been through multiple hospitalizations and surgical procedures and rehabilitation. Despite that she keeps up with her work and is loved by the students.

The Sache family has deep roots in Levy County and Donna Leggett is the sister of Wesley Sache, Portia Sache, Faye Sache and the late Buddy Sache. She married to Billy Leggett and has a son, Leslie “Tater” Keen, and a daughter in law, Holly Keene.

Meal tickets are available for a $10 donation. The menu includes chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, roll and dessert. The meal is a pick-up or lunches can be delivered upon request. Dinner will be available for pickup 5-6:30 p.m. at the CHS cafeteria before the final football game of the season against Trenton.
