Levy libraries offering free e-book downloads

-A A +A

The Levy County Public Library System has expanded its services with audiobooks and e-books available to download from the library’s website. Since Monday, library card holders have been able to check out and download them anytime, anywhere by visiting our new website at www.levylib.org.

Users will then be able to browse the library’s website, check out titles with a valid library card and then download to PC, Mac and many mobile devices. Users will need to install free software in order to check out titles:

For audiobooks: OverDrive Media Console.

To read e-books, users will need Adobe Digital Editions.

Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod, Sony Reader and many others. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, so there won't be any need to return the titles nor any late fees.

This new service is free for patrons with library card. To get started downloading audiobooks and e-books, visit www.levylib.org.

Levy County's public library system has library branches in Bronson, Cedar Key, Chiefland, Williston and Yankeetown.
