Letter: Not happy with Senate choices

-A A +A

To the Editor:

The resignation of Senator Mel Martinez is insignificant since he was a lackluster RINO (Republican In Name Only) and did not properly represent the best interests of the State of Florida and the United States.

Martinez’ short term replacement by Governor Crist will likely continue to support President Obama’s plans for socialized health care, the global warming myth  with Cap and Trade Legislation and amnesty for illegal immigrants until Crist runs for that Senate seat in 2010 to finish the job.   I predict if the popular Charlie Crist (No, I don’t know why either) wins the Senate election he will change his party affiliation to Democrat soon after.

I believe that all Democrats are liars and all Republicans are spineless.  That doesn’t give me a big choice of whom to vote for senator next year. I pray that some candidate runs for the U.S. Senate in Florida who puts the best interest if America ahead of a party affiliation and is a competent leader, two qualities lacking in our present governor.
