How to spell nightmare? H-A-R-T-S-F-I-E-L-D

I must be a real party animal. This past weekend I had about 60 beers, stayed up all night, caroused with total strangers, wore the same clothes for two days and crashed and burned immediately when I got home.

How can this be?

Well, I didn't drink 60 beers. Remember a few weeks ago when I said that missing one hour of sleep is equivalent to drinking two beers?

This past weekend I had more than my share without ever popping a tab.

It started innocently enough.

I was flying to Kentucky for an editorial conference. I packed lightly and in compliance with the FAA guidelines.

It should have been a piece of cake.

It was. Lots of devil's food.

Before I even left Gainesville I was set aside for a pat down because I tripped the security alarm.

Assured it was my dozen bracelets, I was chuckling until she waved the gizmo over my arms and no beep came forth.

Then came the "back of the hand" pat down.

The conclusion? It was my bra straps. Yes, you heard right. I spread-eagled because I was bound.
