FHP graduates 59 new troopers

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Highway Patrol’s 59 newest troopers from the 124th Basic Recruit Class graduated from the Florida Highway Patrol Academy on May 9 — five weeks earlier than previous classes due to an accelerated program. 

The recruits are trained in all aspects of law enforcement including human relations, law, firearms, defensive tactics, vehicle operations and first aid.
