Dixie Music Center Spring Recital Saturday

Dixie Music Center is holding it’s spring recital Saturday at 4:00 p.m. with the Dixie County Historical Society once again hosting the event at the Dixie County Cultural Center (old Old Town Elementary School) on the corner of County Road 349 South and State Road 55A in Old Town.

This year’s recital is dedicated to the memory of beloved keyboard instructor,  Pauline Ross, who died on April 9. She was with Dixie Music Center for 11 years. To call her a keyboard instructor in no way does justice to her. Miss Ross was a friend and mentor who cared about her students and who taught, not only music lessons, but life lessons as well.

The show is able to go on because good friend and music teacher Bernie Robbins has stepped in to help students prepare for the recital.

Also performing will be guitar students, under the guidance of guitar instructor Bruce Miller, and Trenda Gordon’s fiddle students.

The center's owners are asking those attending to plan to stay for the entire performances so that each child has a full audience when he or she performs.
