Community unites in Prayer Walk

-A A +A

"All things are possible through prayer"-the title of a book by inspirational writer Charles L. Allen.

Being a man of God, Pastor Travis Hudson of Hardeetown Baptist Church is a firm believer in the above. His steadfast devotion to prayer is bringing folks of different faith together with one goal in mind -the guidance betterment of the Chiefland from its elected leaders, department heads, law enforcement, business leaders, down to its citizens.

This past Saturday, April 12, people from several churches participated in a "Prayer Walk." People started at various points on the outskirts of town, walking and praying until they all met at City Hall.

Once there, they prayed together and unveiled ambitious plans of what will unfold on National Prayer Day on Thursday, May 1.

Things begin that day with a prayer breakfast at First Baptist Church. Then folks will meet at noon at the City Hall flagpole for a prayer luncheon sponsored by Lighthouse Church. That night, there will be a prayer supper at 6 p.m. at Hardeetown Baptist. At 7 p.m., there will be a service at the worship center.
