Community Outreach Team to visit Williston, Bronson Saturday

People in need of assistance with food stamp and Medicaid applications, blood pressure and diabetes screening, resources for elders, supplemental food and employment services can get help when the Levy County Community Outreach Team visits these locations on Saturday:
• Williston Community Center-Town Hall, 50 N.W. Main St., Williston, 9-11 a.m.
 • Levy County Health Department, 66 W. Main St., Bronson, , 1-3 p.m.
The Team includes representatives from the Florida Department of Children and Families, the Levy County Health Department, The Children’s Table, Elder Options and CLM Workforce Connection. Services provided will include:
• Free blood pressure and blood sugar (diabetes) screenings.
• Food Stamp (SNAP) and Medicaid application assistance provided by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
• Canned goods and other food items distributed by The Children’s Table
• Information and resources for seniors will be provided by Elder Options staff on site.
• Job search assistance and benefits information for veterans will be provided by  CLM (Citrus, Levy, Marion) Workforce Connection.
Other local health and human service organizations that wish to reach out to people in rural portions of Levy County are strongly encouraged to join.
Donations of food are greatly needed. The efforts of local churches, schools, civic and social organizations willing to conduct food drives are essential to the success of future outreach events.
