Anthony D. Beckham, 31, of Cedar Key, faces charges following an investigation into deer hunting at night, according to a Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission report.

The officers developed information about someone hunting for deer during the closed season in Levy County.

The two-week investigation resulted in the arrest of Beckham on a misdemeanor charge of taking a deer with a gun and a light, and felony charges of tampering with evidence and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Beckham is suspected of taking two deer prior to the investigation and has been arrested previously for the same violation, according to the FWC report.

Beckham is free on $6,000 bond.
