Family Bible hosts concert
   Family Bible Chapel will host a concert by Homeward Bound on Sunday, July 1, at 10:30 a.m. This grass roots Southern Gospel ensemble features local artists performing a selection of traditional tunes.
   Everyone is invited to join the patriotic celebration of our national and spiritual freedom. After the concert hamburgers and hot dogs will be served in an indoor picnic. There is no charge for this event; however, an offering will be received for Homeward Bound.
   The church is located on U.S. Highway 19 in Chiefland.

Vacation Bible School
Operation Overboard at Parsons Presbyterian

   Parsons Memorial Presbyterian Church in Yankeetown will hold Bible school July 9-13 from 10 a.m. until 1p.m.  for ages 3 through 12 years old.
   There will music, crafts, Bible stories, discoveries, games and a special snack.
   Our mission for the week will be collecting nickels to help buy potatoes for the less fortunate. Our theme is "Operation Overboard - Dare to go deep with God."
