Do you know someone who has made a noteworthy contribution to the community, someone who has gone out of his or her way and beyond to help others, a person who demonstrates a dedication to accomplishing encouraging achievements? The Greater Chiefland Area Chamber of Commerce wants to hear from you. Anyone who would like to nominate a person for Citizen of the Year 2011 can submit a letter of recommendation, or call the Chamber office for a nomination form designed to help with the write-up.
The special citizen could display a broad range of contribution and achievement, or be an individual unparalleled in a commitment to provide for one particular cause. It’s important that specific examples and details about what the nominee has done are provided. List activities and contributions, results, achievements, who benefitted, honors, awards and memberships in civic and professional organizations. The candidate must be at least 18 years old and reside in the Chiefland area. The award for Citizen of the Year 2011 will be presented at the Chamber’s upcoming annual banquet.
