Chamber seeking Business of the Year

-A A +A

For more than 20 years, the Greater Chiefland Area Chamber of Commerce has observed Industry Appreciation Week by honoring an exemplary local company as Business of the Year.
This year’s Awards Banquet will be on Tuesday, Sept. 11. But every year, the work for the event starts months earlier by asking the community to nominate a business worthy of the award.
The Business of the year awards are intended to recognize businesses that stand out for notable achievements and community contributions. The annual award celebrates entrepreneurial spirit, volunteerism, innovation and leadership.
All characteristics that make Florida a great place to do business and a wonderful place to live.
Other considerations may include: serves the Chiefland area, in business at least one year, currently in operation, runs a clean business, appreciates employees,  community involvement and job creation.
The Chamber of Commerce is urging the public to come forward with suggestions.  If you have noticed or experienced something extraordinary in your business dealings, consider making a nomination.
You do not have to be a member of the Chamber to submit a nomination for the Business of the Year.
Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office in the Old Train Depot, or by calling 352-493-1849, or visiting www.chieflandchamber.com.
