Bronson toasts 2007 football season

The Bronson Middle/High School football programs toasted their 2007 campaigns with a banquet on Monday night, Jan. 14, in the cafetorium.

The varsity Eagles finished 3-7 in coach Greg Brochetti's final year at the helm. Bronson played as an independent in '07. Helping Brochetti hand out special awards were assistant coaches Jeromi Birtikidis, Robert Mack and Mike Pogue.

Special awards went to Markus White (Best Offensive Line); Brandon Young (Best Defensive Line); Jesse Waybright (Most Versatile); Kelby Barber (Eagle Pride); Terry Smith (Most Improved Offense); Rodolfo Contreras (Best Receiver); Jermey Mayes (Best Linebacker); Jeremiah Brown (Best Running Back); and Jake Williams (Most Improved Defense).

The middle school team toasted an excellent 5-1 season. Coaches Greg Hamilton, Troy Turner, Jim Jones, Kenny Thomas, Aaron Homan, Nate Mercer and Terry Mauldin had a whopping 42 players on the team this season.
