Next year's bill filed after this year's died

By Lou Elliott Jones, Editor

UPDATE: State Rep. Leonard Bembry (D-District 10) has prefiled the bill to name portions of highways in Levy County for three soldiers who died in Iraq and Afghanistan for the 2012 legislative session. The bill number is HB11. “I am extremely disappointed that these families will have to wait another year to see their family member honored,” said Bembry. “ I will again work diligently, whether it’s on my own bill or another, to get these designations passed.” Because of redistricting requirements, the 2012 Legislative Session begins Jan. 10, 2012.
