Chiefland sophomore Wyatt Hammond got off to a rocky start when he took the mound in the fifth inning Monday against Bronson.

Hammond hit a pair of batters early in the inning before giving up a two-run single to senior pitcher Donnie Clifton, giving the Eagles a 4-2 advantage.

But the rangy right-hander slammed the door shut on BMHS for the remainder of the game, helping the Indians collect a 5-4 come-from-behind win in the season opener in Chiefland.
