Providence Ministries and New Beginning Baptist Church would like to thank the community for their support of the benefit held for Jayne Rocks on Saturday, March 19. Thanks to your generosity, a net profit of $3, 768.77 to help offset medical bills was presented to Keith and Jayne by Mr. Walt Rode, organizer of the benefit and Pastors Jimmy Sumner and Chris Ruggles.  The benefit committee would also like to thank the many people who provided cakes, food and their time to make this event a success.
 

Dear Jerry (Administrator of the Tri-County Hospital of Williston),
I met you last Thursday when I was leaving Tri-County Hospital after a three-day stay. Please allow me the opportunity to brag on these members of the hospital staff who were responsible for the positive experience I had during my recent stay in your health care facility in my hometown of Williston.

While acting as branch librarian, and the only employee, I recruited and trained several volunteers. Many years later, when retiring, the volunteers stayed on. Operating the library without volunteers was almost impossible.
After a few years of driving for Meals on Wheels, and training for the old VOICE program at the Levy County Sheriffs Department, and for Guardian Ad Litem, (both of which required finger printing), I noticed the library was in need of volunteers.

 Once upon a time in Levy County, there was a great and wondrous place called Gulf Hammock. The rivers, streams, and springs ran clear and free. The flora and fauna was the richest in the land. One could walk for miles and not see another human being, or any kind of structure to impede their vision while taking in all that nature had to offer. It acted as a buffer for the riches of Waccasassa Bay.
