Break out the cake and punch, Chiefland Middle High School has won its appeal and is once again an “A” school.
Levy County School District appealed the decision to give a “B” to CMHS for the 2013-14 school year noting that some data used in the assessment was incomplete.
The decision by state Department of Education officials leaves Chiefland alone in the county in earning an “A” ― its third in a row and the fourth A earned in the past five years.
