Daron Johnson did not intend to grow up and become a mystery writer. The Baptist missions worker and son of Paul and Carolyn Johnson, of Chiefland, did not like to read books until he was 18, even though he did enjoy writing.

On the first Monday of each month a place is selcted in the Lower Suwannee and Cedar Key Wildlife Refuges to see whatever birds are around and to enjoy the outdoors.
