The rains have fallen and so has the mandatory burn ban in unincorporated areas of Levy County.
The ban and the local declaration of an emergency due to the continuing drought was lifted Wednesday.
The action was taken by the Levy County Board of Commissioners in conjunction with the state Department of Forestry.
The ban was instituted due to the threat of wildfires on June 14.
This means fireworks can be sold and exploded on the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
