Chiefland police will soon get a reboot to their department in the form a $10,000 grant to pay for new portable laptops.
The Levy County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:
Chiefland’s fire chief is set for another year of saving lives and battling blazes.
Chiefland commissioners are keeping their hands out of the fire – for now, informally dropping the issue Monday night of creating an application for monument placement at City Hall.
The Lady Indians defeated the Wildwood Wildcats 42-33 in an intensely competitive game on Friday night.
They will head to FHSAA semifinals in Lakeland playing Paxton on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Lakeland Center. Tickets are$10 each and are on sale at FHSAA.org.
The game will also be webcast on Bright House Sports Network.
The Levy County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Central Florida Electric Cooperative (CFEC), is urging all CFEC customers to be aware of a scam operation.
Cedar Key Beacon fishing columnist Capt'n. Danny Allen and his hometown are the starts in a nationally televised show on the Pursuit Channel and NBC Sports Network on Feb. 12 and 26.
"Tidal Adventures" is a 25-minute show, sponsored by the Levy County Visitors Bureau, that showcases the world-class fishing in and around the Cedar Keys.
Hollywood was the theme at the annual STARS Gala for The Levy County Schools Foundation and the stars were shining on Levy County.
The Williston Atheists will be holding a meetup on Sunday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at Melanie's restaurant, 112 E. Noble Ave., Williston.
The meeting is open to interested persons.
