    The Levy County Sheriff's Office reports the following arrests:

    _ Dawn M. Bremer, 39, Northeast 61st Lane, Bronson, was charged with DUI after the sheriff's office received a call about a possible intoxicated person, according to the deputy's report.

    The Levy County Sheriff's Office reports the following arrests:

    _ Stephen T. Siddons, 18, Northwest 106th Court, Chiefland, is charged with lewd or lascivious molestation of a child, burglary of a structure and grand theft. Bond is $35,000 on all the charges. The sheriff's office report says he kissed and fondled a 5-year-old child. A second report says Siddons is accused of breaking into a shed and taking a flat-screen TV, a stereo and another item.

  • Verbal altercation leads to assault charges

    Seth Leon Foster is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm after a verbal dispute with two men at Jack's Recycling on Northwest Highway 19 in Trenton escalated into shots fired at a customer's truck.

    Foster, 20, of Northwest 81st Street in Fanning Springs, was arrested after the truck's owner called 9-1-1 to report a person firing a weapon at his truck and him.

    When Deputy Ella Roberts arrived, Foster had left the scene, but he returned to be interviewed by Sheriff's Investigator Mark Morgan.

  • Man charged with enticing child

    A 63-year-old Fanning Springs resident has been charged with impersonating a police officer, and luring and enticing a child into his vehicle.

    Levy County Sheriff's Investigator Lauree Allen arrested William Silas Johns July 10 on the charges.

    The 6-year-old girl who reported the July 2 incident was not physically harmed, according to a sheriff's office press release.

  • Chiefland Police Department

    Chiefland Police Department reports the following arrests:

    _ David Ceddrick Flanders, 27, Chiefland, is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a church, possession of crack with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a church, trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia on May 22.

    The Levy County Sheriff's Office reports the following arrests:

    _ James Thomas Jr., 27, Chiefland, on two charges each of sale of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine after the sheriff's office arranged two drug buys from Thomas behind the South Chevron on Southeast 1st Street, Chiefland.

    The report says the area behind the Chevron in South Chiefland is known as being a place to purchase drugs. Bail for Thomas on all charges is $30,000.

    The Levy County Sheriff's Office reports the following arrests:

    _ Bobby G. Richardson, 24, Summer Lake Drive, Davie, was charged with sex offense against a child-fondling, victim 12-15 years old. Bond was set at $35,000.

    On June 22, Deputy Gary Brewer responded to 119 Mongo St., Bronson, in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon his arrival Linda Thomas, 46, was arrested for domestic aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

    The victim reported to Deputy Brewer that a verbal domestic dispute occurred inside the residence and the victim walked outside. Thomas followed the victim armed with a 12 inch kitchen knife waving the knife in a threatening manner.

    The Levy County Sheriff's Office reports the following arrests:

    _ Willie Gilbert, 44, Williston, was arrested on 06-19-08 for illegally siphoning gas from a truck owned by a local construction company. Gilbert told police he needed the gas to get to work. He was charged with petit theft and trespassing-$2,000 bail.

  • Sheriff's Reports

    The Levy County Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. was called to Chiefland June 16 following an incident that left a home blasted with gunfire.

    Lloyd Aaron Roosa, 37, of N.W. 90th St., was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest without violence after he allegedly shot up the home of his girlfriend.

    According to the sheriff's office, the girlfriend told officers that Roosa had visited bars in Fanning Springs and upon returning home, retrieved a .22 caliber rifle from the bedroom and shot at her.
