    The Levy County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:
    n Feb. 13, Eugene Jehue Cannon, 78, Inglis, FTA. Bond $2,000.
    n Feb. 15, Thomas Joseph Carlisle Jr., 19, Bronson, violation of injunction, FTA. Bond $10,000.
    n Feb. 15, John Christopher Champion, 22, Chiefland, robbery with weapon, aggravated battery on a person with a deadly weapon. Bond $400,000.
    n Feb. 13, Stanley Charles Collins, 38, Northwest Reform, Ala., DWLS habitual, out of county warrant. Bond $5,000.

  • Sex predator registers address in Cedar Key

    Jeffrey Earl. Lashley, 52, convicted of sexual battery in 2004 and classified a "sexual predator," has registered his address in Cedar Key, according to a Levy County Sheriff's Office press release.

    The Levy County Sheriff’s Department reports the following arrests:
    n Feb. 7, Mary Richardson Bloom, 59, Williston, non support of children or spouse. Bond $11,928.
    n Feb. 7, Cassandra Rachelle Cason, 24, High Springs, two out of county warrants.
    n Feb. 7, James Allen Ellerby, 18, Chiefland, battery. Bond $25,000.
    n Feb. 8, Timothy Ray Fields, 27, Bronson, three lewd lascivious behavior victim older 12-16. Bond $400,000.
    n Feb. 12, Javi Perlta Herrera, 26, Trenton, operating motor vehicle w/o valid license.

    n Jeremy Drake, burglary, 180 days with credit for 73 days served and 24 months probation; criminal mischief under $1,000, 180 days with credit for 73 days, served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment and $162 restitution.

  • Man jailed in sex crime

    Timothy Ray Fields Jr., 27, of Bronson, was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 8 on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child, according to a Levy County Sheriff's Office press release.
    Sheriff's Cpl. Mike Bell and Deputy Kevin Kink investigated the complaint from a juvenile who told them she had been raped two weeks ago in Fields' vehicle. She said she delayed reporting the crime because she was scared.
    Bell obtained a tape statement from Fields confessing to the incident.
    Fields is in Levy County Jail on a $400,000 bond.
     

  • Man jailed on sex charge

    Timothy Ray Fields Jr., 27, of Bronson, was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 8 on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child, according to a Levy County Sheriff's Office press release.

    Sheriff's Cpl. Mike Bell and Deputy Kevin Kink investigated the complaint from a juvenile who told them she had been raped two weeks ago in Fields' vehicle. She said she delayed reporting the crime because she was scared.
    Bell obtained a tape statement from Fields confessing to the incident.

    Fields is in Levy County Jail on a $400,000 bond.
     

  • Levy fugitive arrested in Arizona

    The U.S. Marshals Service, working in conjunction with the Levy County Sheriff's Office, has arrested a violent Levy County fugitive that fled to Mexico in 2002, according to a LCSO press release.
    Stephen Ray Douglass, 62 was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.  Douglass was convicted in 1989 for brutally raping a woman.  During the sexual assault, he intimidated his victim and threatened her with retaliation if the victim disclosed the crime.
