BRONSON - The following persons were sentenced in criminal court in Levy County in the 8th Judicial Circuit.

Wayne L. Brewer, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, 1 year and 1 day with 26 days credit for time served and a $250 fine; and possession of paraphernalia, dropped.

Craig A Brown, bond hearing on charge of failing to re-register as required, bond denied.

The following persons were arrested by the Chiefland Police Department according to incident reports. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

A ruse by a woman claiming to be her twin failed, according to the incident report. Shannon Renee Riley, 25, Southeast 195th Street, Old Town, was stopped in the Winn Dixie parking lot on Highway 19 after changing lanes to make a left turn without first signaling and crossing a solid lane line.

No one was injured Monday morning when a rental car driven by Harry Lawrence Coleman, 78, of Chiefland, jumped a curb, plowed through the flower bed and into a patient room at Haven Hospice at about 9 a.m. Monday.

Chief Robert Douglas said about $10,000 damage was done to the structure and City Planning/Building Director Bill Hammond has OK'd the continued use of the building as long as the damaged section is kept closed off.

Officers of the Chiefland Police Department on the following charges arrested the following persons. All are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Pauley James Kendall, 18, Northwest 135th Lane, Chiefland, was charged with vehicular burglary, grand theft of $300 or more, dealing in stolen property and criminal mischief causing less than $200 damage after he attempted to sell the equipment to the victim's co-worker, according to a Chiefland Police report.
