Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-District 3) announced that he voted on Thursday, April 16, in favor of permanently repealing the death tax. The bipartisan bill – H.R. 1105, the Death Tax Repeal Act – will help a wide range of Americans, especially family farms, ranches and small businesses.
The bill moves to the Senate, and if passed, will be sent to the White House. President Barack Obama is expected to veto the measure.
The tax affects only two out of every 1,000 people according to Tax Policy Center estimates.
