  • Browning running for county judge

To all my Levy County friends and family:

Cyndee graduated from the University of Florida College of Law and opened a private law firm in Chiefland in 1996.  She and her husband, the late Thomas (Tom) A. • Desmond running for sheriff

My name is Noel Desmond and I am a candidate for the Levy County Sheriff. Everyone would like to see a positive, upbeat campaign from candidates but a candidate must also be truthful to the voting public. With that thought in mind, allow me to say, I have been a Levy County resident for the past 32 years.
In that time I have seen four hold this sheriff’s seat. None of them have honored the true nature of that post. Drastic changes are needed in the way our Sheriff's Department conducts itself and its operations!

  • McCallum enters Levy sheriff's race

Bobby McCallum, a veteran of Levy County law enforcement, announced his candidacy for sheriff, citing the need for positive change, fiscal responsibility and more effective leadership in the Sheriff's Office.

  • Evan Sullivan announces for sheriff

    Special to the Citizen
Levy County native and Sheriff's Maj. Evan Sullivan announced he is running for sheriff as a Republican in the 2012 election.
The fourth generation law enforcement officer said he is running because, “I was born and raised in Levy County, and my family has served our community for decades. It would be a great honor for me to serve my fellow citizens as sheriff.”

  • Lee Sullivan candidate for Levy sheriff

My name is Lee Sullivan, I started my law enforcement career in Levy County where I grew up and graduated from Chiefland High School and I hope to complete my career as Levy County sheriff.

  • Ward announces for Supervisor of Elections

  • WITHDRAWN :Kathy Green-Hudson seeks elections position

Levy County resident, Kathy Green Hudson, has filed the required paperwork to seek the office of Supervisor of Elections in 2012.
