There are still openings in Chiefland Elementary School's Voluntary Pre-K program and the school is enrolling now for kindergarten.
Parents are being urged to skip the delay and stop in at the CES office to pick up information and enrollment packets.
Anyone who has not registered their child for kindergarten yet needs to come by and pick up our enrollment packet.

The College of Central Florida will offer STARS Summer Program for high school students in Levy County. The Science and Technology Academy for Researchers is free and will be held Monday through Thursday, June 18-21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the CF Jack Wilkinson Levy Campus, 7651 N.W. 151st Lane, Fanning Springs. The program is supported by a grant from Progress Energy.
If your child will be attending kindergarten at Chiefland Elementary School during the 2012-2013 school year, please call the school to schedule a screening appointment today.
The dates available are May 30th, May 31st and June 4th during the hours of 3-7pm. If your child has attended Kountry Kids, Clyatt House, Fun 4 Kids or CES VPK program, then your child may have been screened already. Please check with CES to verify.

The Chiefland High School cheerleading squad is hosting a cake and pie auction and a spaghetti supper to raise money for uniforms and equipment.
The event will be on Tuesday, May 29 in the Chiefland High School Cafateria. Meal service is at 5 p.m. and the auction is at 6 p.m. Dinners cost $5 each. Spaghetti tickets can be purchased at Chiefland High School or at the door.

Eleven graduates of the adult education program received their high school diplomas in graduation ceremonies at Tommy Usher Community Center in Chiefland on Thursday, May 17.
The students graduated from the College of Central Florida Levy Center program. Two students — Alana M. Ashley of Chiefland and John K. Clifton of Trenton — were inducted into the National Adult Education Honor Society.
