  • Webinar helps with starting a business

    Special to the Citizen
    Anyone who owns or is thinking about starting a small business can utilize the services of the Small Business Development Center, but many people live too far from a full service office.  Webinars are available to help business owners in rural areas get the information and assistance they need to start, grow and succeed.
    On April 6, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the SBDC at the University of North Florida will offer "Steps to Starting A Business."

  • Barron earns acheivements

     Justin Barron, a service technician at White Ford in Chiefland, earned two notable accomplishments in the 2010 Masters Program. He earned an Engine Master status, which includes the Engine Plaque, 2010 Ingot, Master Technician Hat and 2010 Master Technician magnet. Justin is one of 261 technicians in the Orlando Region to hold the status. He also earned a Chassis Master status, which includes a 2010 Ingot and 2010 Master Technician magnet. He is one of 313 technicians in the region to earn the status.

     Aaron's Sales and Lease in Chiefland is celebrating the chain's 55th anniversary with contests and prizes, but Diane Hartman of Old Town was gifted as if it were her own celebration. Hartman registered a number on a scratch-off card she was given at the Chiefland store at aarons.com and was notified she won a  52-inch Sharp Aquos television. Wonder if she's hosting the Superbowl party this year?
