A large crowd of Levy County Farm Bureau members gathered at the Whitehurst Lodge outside of Willston on Sept. 30, to enjoy a barbecue dinner, fellowship and to do a little yearly business. Incoming Levy County Farm Bureau President Chad “Cracker” Johnson, State Rep.  The U.S. Department of Agriculture Oct. 8 released its World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reflecting the third-largest corn crop and yield on record. While this month’s report lowers U.S. corn yield and production estimates from the previous month, U.S. Grains Council President and CEO Thomas C. Dorr said these market challenges will be addressed.
