Sales at the Suwannee River Youth Livestock Show and Sale were just under $975,000 last week, surpassing last year's total of $861,000.
A total of 369 animals were sold, 232 of those being hogs, 103 feeder steers and 34 fat steers.
“We're tickled to death. Everything went all smooth,” Loran Brookins, fair president said on Friday, adding they had a record sale.
At the beginning of the sale, it was announced the fair was establishing a scholarship fund in honor of the late Robert Philpot, who died March 13.
