    Christopher Shawn McNeely, 27, who was convicted in 2005 for lewd and lascivious molestation on a child, has registered 21161 N.E. 35th St.,Williston. McNeely was released from the Florida State Department of Corrections in September.

    n Sept. 28, Isaac Joel Buchanan, 31, Chiefland, DWLSR, aggravated fleeing. Bond $50,000.

    n Sept. 27, Christen Michelle Coxwell, 34, Perry, DWLSR. Bond $500.

    n Sept. 24, Rosario Cruz, 53, Okeechobee, DWLS. Bond $2,000.

    n Sept. 26, Kevin Lawrence Davis, 34, Old Town, DWLSR. Bond $1,000.

    n Sept. 28, Jacquelin Suzette Days, 42, Ocala, petit theft. Bond $1,000.

  • Fowlers Bluff fire district meeting

    The Fowler's Bluff fire district board's annual meeting will be on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m at the Flowers Bluff Fire Station. County Fire Capt. David Florance and County Chief David Knowles will provide an update on the merger with Levy County Fire Rescue. 

    Also, the group will elect officers for the coming year and provide a financial update to the membership.

  • Marshals capture three fugitives

    The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force on Sept. 19 located and arrested three fugitives — including one wanted on two sex charges in Levy County — who posed threats to several communities.
