North Central Florida District 2 Al-anon has a Speakers’ Bureau that can provide people to talk on Al-anon topics.

Al-Anon speakers are available for Al-Anon/Ala-teen  groups, teachers, educators, clergy, church groups, AA groups, social workers, conventions, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, penal institutions, doctors/nurses, and others.
Topics include: personal recovery, 12 steps/traditions/concepts, service, spiritual journey of Al-anon, serenity, prayer, literature and slogans.

    Army Pvt. Deonte J. White,  the son of Kursey Carnegie and grandson of Carl Carnegie of Williston, has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. White is a 2009 graduate of Williston High School.

 Roz Boudreau, a member of Chiefland Home and Community Educators, presents Connie Brown, administrator of Tri-County Outreach, with a check for $250. The money will be used to purchase food for distribution to the needy in Levy County. 

Lynetta Usher Griner, an officer of Usher Land & Timber of Chiefland, has been elected president-elect of the Florida Forestry Association for the next two years.  Griner, an attorney, works for the family-owned timber operation.
Bryan J. Olmert, president of Loncala, Inc. a land and timber operation in Alachua County was elected president of the association during the group's meeting in Destin on Sept. 9.
