n First UMC hosts epic summer bash
   First United Methodist Church Chiefland will host the First Epic End of Summer Bash on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the community.
   In addition to free food and drinks, there will be games, children's clothing tent (K-12), kids' fingerprinting and haircuts, Jumpy House and wet slide, games and more.

n Gospel music festival Aug. 5-6
   WE SOAR, Inc./Gospel Fest Committee is inviting soloists, choirs, ensembles, instrumentalists, quartets, dance and mime ministries and Christian step teams to participate in the 10th Annual Williston Gospel Music Festival  on Friday, Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 6,  2 p.m. –6.p.m. This event is a celebration and promotion of traditional, contemporary, rap, and southern style gospel music.
