UMC welcomes
back Rev. McClelland
The Rev. Lloyd McClelland will be the guest pastor at First United Methodist Church in Chiefland on March 20 at the 10:15 morning worship service. A short reception will follow to allow former friends to visit with him. He was pastor in Chiefland from 1977 to 1980. This continues the year-long celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Methodist Church in Chiefland.
Fish fry dinners on Fridays in Lent will start March 11 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Chiefland, and for those who have a hankering for a traditional boiled St. Patrick’s Day dinner on March, the church will host that as well.
The 20th Annual Potato Pancake supper will be held at 4:30-7 p.m. on Shrove Tuesday, March 8, at Peace Lutheran Church, Dunnellon. This event is a favorite among residents of the area. The menu is potato pancakes or regular pancakes, ham, fruit cup, beverage and dessert.
