  • City wide tent revival report

    By James Hurst
Congratulations  to participating churches of Levy --- you set a record this past Saturday. You took the big Crusades for Christ tent from the semi-trailer to a standing tent in a mere four hours. To the thirty of so people who were on site we offer a great big THANK YOU!  This coming Saturday (25th) we will meet again at 7:30 a.m. to install the chairs, platform, lighting, video/audio equipment and we will need you once again.

  • A place of refuge

While on the big island of Hawaii, Linda, J.R., and I chanced to come across a site known as, The Place of Refuge.  The object of war, in those days before the missionaries came to their island, was to exterminate the enemy, which included anyone who belonged to the opposing side.  Those too old, too young, or those unable to fight could find safety in the sanctuary.  Defeated warriors also came to the “pu’uhonua,” where they could wait in safety until the battle was over.  Their allegiance would then be to the victor.

  • Focus on the positive with God in overcoming life’s tribulations

"Keep your eyes on God who is greater than any problem.”
These were the words of a mother to her beloved daughter as she wrote to encourage her to solve the problems that she was now confronted with in her young life.
This is a lesson that we would all do well to learn. With God all things are possible and we must never waver in our trust of Him.

  • Donation at Rosewood

When the Sawgrass Club of Cedar Key heard that the Rosewood Baptist Church was in need of food to help a few families though rough times the members knew they could help.

It was not much, a few cans here and a couple boxes of cereal there, built into two boxes of food.  SawGrass also donated $50. Representatives of the church said this would help several families.
