St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church's St Vincent de Paul Society will have a cookie walk on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
All are invited to come in to choose a whole or half bag of homemade goodies and get all of your Christmas cookie needs taken care of in one place. There will be a wide assortment. The funds raised will be used to buy food for the food shelf.
Peace Lutheran Church will host its 24th annual Potato Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, Feb. 17. Dinner will be served from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Donations requested will be $6 for adults, $3 for children 5 through 11; there is no charge for children under the age of 5. Tickets will be available at the door . Tickets may also be purchased in advance from members, and at the Peace Lutheran booth at the Dunnellon First Saturday event on Feb. 7.
The College of Central Florida Musical Theatre Ensemble will present “Godspell” Nov. 14-15 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. in the Dassance Fine Arts Center at the CF Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.
A pre-performance reception will be held Friday, Nov. 14, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Webber Center. The reception is free, and guests may view the Visual Artists’ Society “Best of the Season” art exhibit on display in the adjoining Webber Gallery.
Creekside Christian School at Otter Creek Baptist Church will have its annual Fall Fun Night this Friday night from 6:30-9:00 p.m. There will be a hay ride, bounce house, big slide, jousting, hay maze, cake walk, gold fish and many other booths. Arm Bands are $5. The concession stand will have hot dogs, chili, soup and sweets. There will be a drawing for many prizes donated by local businesses. The address is 171 SW 3rd Street, Otter Creek.

The First Baptist Church of Chiefland will be hosting a live simulcast called "Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus" Sunday, Nov. 2, from 7-9 p.m. Come hear Nabeel Qureshi tell about his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity.
Childcare is available for 5th graders and younger. A love offering will be taken, but the event is free.
The College of Central Florida Humanities and Social Sciences Department and the Interfaith Alliance of Marion County will present “Can We Talk? Civil Discourse Among the Faiths” Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in the Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center at the CF Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.
