Ranger Pam Darty of the U.S. Fish Service at Lower Suwannee Wildlife Refuge will give a presentation on Florida Bats and Bat Houses at the Ellie Schiller Education Center in the Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve (WGP) at 1001 Old Rock Road, Yankeetown, Friday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m.. Admission is free.
Levy County Fair Association meeting
The Levy County Fair Association will hold it's regular monthly meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is held at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, 1045 NE 6th Blvd., Williston. Anyone interested in having a voice in, or being a part of next year's Fair is encouraged to attend. This month each branch of the Levy County Public Library System will have real mini pumpkins for kids of all ages to decorate. Each child will be able to use stickers to decorate one pumpkin to take home. Join in on this fun Halloween Craft. Large groups are welcome, but please contact your local library in advance.
Dixie Music Center will celebrate their 19th anniversary in business with their annual music festival. This will be the Old Town’s store’s 10th such event in as many years. The Saturday, Oct. 9, show is free and is open to the public.
The Friends of the Luther Callaway Public Library (FLCPL) Board of Directors, will hold their monthly meeting at the Library, 104 N.E. 3rd Street, Chiefland (a block behind City Hall), at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14.
