     The Levy County Fair's Karaoke Contest continues on at Coconuts in Cedar Key at 1 p.m. and at the Masonic Lodge in Williston at 1 p.m.

    n March 19 — 1-4 p.m. — Annual Wedding Expo in the Grande Hall: Free admission, door prizes including a grand prize, a bridal fashion show by the Glass Slipper Bridal with its entire San Patrick Collection by Pronovias,  DJs, wedding planners, wedding and reception decorators, photographers travel agents, a wine tasting by Suwannee River Valley Winery, hair stylists, makeup artists, Misty Edge Carraige Rides, a limo service provider and other event specialists.

    Boiled dinner at St. John the Evangelist
    A traditional boiled St. Patrick’s Day dinner is on the menu at St. John the Evangelist Church in Chiefland, 4050 N.W. Highway 27A, going towards Bronson. The dinner — corned beef, cabbage, Irish potatoes, carrots, dessert and beverage — is served 5-7 p.m.  for $5 for children and $7 for adults. For information, call 352-493-9723.
    Proceeds benefit the St. Vincent De Paul food closet. A donation of non-perishable food items is appreciated.

  • Free evening of Bluegrass

    A free evening of Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music with Big Cypress Bluegrass and other bands at 6-9 p.m. Saturday, March 5, will be hosted by the Dixie County Historical Society .
    The performance is at the Old Town Elementary School Auditorium, on State Road 349 and County Road 55A.
     

  • Bronson Blue Springs open for spring break

    Bronson Blue Springs will be opened for spring break from March 12-20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is still $1, though children under 5 are free.
    There’s no lifeguard on duty, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
