    n Bronson UMC movie night
       The Bronson United Methodist Church invites you to a free movie on Saturday, March 10 at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.  Popcorn and soda will be served.  There is no charge for this event, please come and enjoy the evening out.     The movie to be shown is "Courageous".     The grand opening for the newest Haven Hospice Attic will be Saturday, March 10, at 9 a.m. Chiefland is proud to be the home of Haven’s fourth attic. A Haven Hospice Attic resale store sells gently used items: clothing, electronics, appliances, housewares, furniture and more. Haven’s Attics are sure to hold some treasures.

       Long Pond Baptist Church, home of WTBH 91.5 FM, invites the public to its 32nd Homecoming, Sunday
    at 10:30 a.m. 
       If you have attended Long Pond Baptist Church in the past, the congregation would love to see you again, at this year's Homecoming.
       The Sammy Glass Family from Decatur, Tenn., will kick off the day with a concert at 10:30 a.m.  Brother Sammy Glass will be the guest speaker, bringing the morning message.

    Movie night at First Baptist
    First Baptist Church of Chiefland will host a community movie night on Sunday, March 4, at 6 p.m. with a free showing of "Courageous." The movie focuses on four law enforcement officers — Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson and Shane Fuller, who struggle to meet the challenges of fatherhood.
    Childcare will be provided for children 5 and under. For more information or directions, call 352-493-1481.

  • Kids rodeo Saturday in Trenton

    River Cross Cowboy Church in Trenton will be hosting a free Kids Ranch Rodeo for kids 12 and under. Saturday, at 3560 S.W. County Road 334, Trenton. 

       Sign ups begin at 11 a.m. and the rodeo starts at noon. There will be food and live music. Events for the rodeo include mutton bustin’, ranch branding, goat tying, goat undressing, barrel racing, chute doggin’ and breakaway calf roping.   • Florida writer speaks at CK library

    Jeff Klinkenberg, who writes about Florida culture and people, will visit the Cedar Key Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, to give a program about his unique perspective on his home state. Klinkenberg's talk, part of the library's current "Our Stories" series, will be an entertaining, informative look at some of the state's more colorful people, places and events.

  • SVP debuts original musical tonight

     The Suwannee Valley Players are so pleased to be able to present its annual musical, Master of Time, which was written by a local writer, Krista Perryman. Not only is SVP honored to produce this play, it is privileged to have Perryman as the musical director and choreographer, while working closely with a SVP veteran director, Janice Grant. The large cast is made up of residents from all parts of our Tri-County area. SVP is proud of its accomplishments.
