    The College of Central Florida Levy Center will celebrate the latest graduation of students from the Adult Education Program with a diploma ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the conference room at the center.

    The Levy Center is at 114 Rodgers Boulevard/U.S. Highway 129 at U.S. Highway 19 in Chiefland.

    Turning Point Ministry spaghetti dinner

    Turning Point Ministry is hosting a spaghetti dinner on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 9 p.m.. The suggested donation is $8 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under.

    The menu includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and drink. You can dine-in or carry out. Tickets will be available at the door. The ministry is at 16750 N.W. 60th St./County Road 341, north of Chiefland.

    The World War II Veterans and Proud of It group will be honored at a luncheon at the Suwannee River Moose Family Center No. 235 on 167th Place in Fanning Springs. The luncheon begins at noon.

  • Bronson library book sale Nov. 7

    On Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Bronson Friends of the Library will be having a Book Sale at the Bronson Public Library.

    Books can be purchased by the bag for $1.

    We have all types of books for readers, including children's books.  This event is sponsored by the Bronson Friends of the Library.

    Yes, my friends, that creepy, kooky family, “The Addams Family, the Musical,” will be departing the Chief Theater in Chiefland on Sunday, Nov. 1 after a three-week run.

    It appears that Wednesday is grown up and has fallen in love. But, as Uncle Fester points out, there is a problem. She is keeping her engagement a secret. First she wants to introduce the young man and his family, the Beinkes to her family.
