    Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast will conduct its next General Orientation Class for New Volunteers on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon at 304 N. Main Street in Chiefland. This prepares volunteers to assist in our offices, at the Thrift & Gift Shoppe, at Herry's Café and in community outreach work.

    Take a journey into an era when railroads were the lifeblood of North Central Florida at the Matheson History Museum’s Gainesville Express Train Show Family FunDay on Saturday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, July 12, from 1 to 4 p.m.

    Entrance is $4 per adult and $1 per child under 12 years old.
