  • Blood drive in Williston Aug. 22

    LifeSouth Community Blood Bank will be holding a blood drive in Williston on Friday, August 22, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 50 N.W. Main Street in Williston.

  • Calling all artists

    Haven Hospice is inviting artists to connect with patients and families while supporting Haven by displaying their art work through the ArtsCare Program.

       Artists' applications will be accepted throughout the year. To be considered, the artists must complete an exhibiting application and return it with a minimum of 10 photos representative of their work. The application can be found at www.havenhospice.org/ArtsCare.

  • Bike run, dinner benefits Eagles

    The Suwannee River Eagles 4520 are hosting a bike poker run, concert, serving food by Big Rick and a live auction on Saturday, Aug. 9, starting at 11 a.m.

    The public is welcome to attend. Proceeds will benefit the group's projects.

    Readers of all ages have been exploring all things scientific this summer as the Levy County Public Library System presents “Fizz, Boom, Read!” during their summer library program.

       The 2014 Summer Reading Program is open to children of all ages. Each week will feature a presentation, craft, snack and take home goodies. For more information, call your local library or visit, www.levylib.org.

    All programs are free of charge and begin at 10:30 AM.
