Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 543 gathered at the Trenton Cemetery and Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery on May 24, to pay their respect to veterans. Armed with American flags and full hearts, they walked the cemetery placing the a flag on each veterans' grave. The Scouts placed flags on the graves in celebration of Memorial Day. Scouts then gathered around a memorial cross honoring all veterans and gave the Scout salute in remembrance of all the heroes.
Both the Troop and Pack meet on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the Turning Point Church off County Road 341 about 1 mile from Lancaster Prison. Any boy going into the first grade and is age 6 and up (to the age of 18) can join the unit.
