Bingo Season Off to a Good Start
Thursday BINGO at the Yankeetown Inglis Woman’s Club is off to a great start. All proceeds go toward college scholarships for local students and provide The Kind News for 11 class rooms at Yankeetown School. Come early to purchase your BINGO cards and enjoy fresh homemade goodies from the “Thursday Kitchen.” Doors open at 6pm, with BINGO games beginning at 7pm.
It’s been brought to our attention that there are a lot of children at Yankeetown School that aren’t eating on weekends. We want to put a stop to that! Bring in 2 non perishable food items (peanut butter, oatmeal, canned fruits and veggies, Jell-o cups, fruit cups, healthy cereals etc) and receive a FREE Early Bird Special. All food will be given to Yankeetown School on Friday to be given out to those in need. Grab your friends and neighbors and join us for the fun that is BINGO!
The Thrift Store is open from 5-7pm before Bingo for your shopping convenience, with new items arriving daily. If you’ve been cleaning out closets, remember to drop those always needed, gently used items at the Shop during regular hours; Tues, Wed & Fri 10am-1pm, Thurs 5-7pm and the 2nd & 4th Sat 9am-1pm. For questions or information call 352-447-2057 or email: yiwomansclub@gmail.com.

Thrift Store
Don’t miss the fall collection now being featured at The Yankeetown-Inglis Woman’s Club Thrift Shop.   You’ll be a hit in a great denim ensemble with a new stylish handbag and shoes to compliment your look.  Stop in to get the clothes you’ll love, from casual wear to dressy, they’ve got it all.  The month of October will feature a 15% discount on all women’s blouses and as a way to thank those who have served our country, a 10% discount is offered to all Veterans (with ID) on their total purchase.
The Thrift Store, located on 56th Street in Yankeetown, is run by volunteers from the Yankeetown-Inglis Woman’s Club and is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10am-1pm, Thursday evenings 5pm-7pm and from 9am-1pm the 2nd and 4th Saturday.  The store is stocked solely by donations from members and the community and donations of jewelry and house wares are always needed.  If you’ve been cleaning out over the summer and have gently used items, think about donating them to the Thrift Store anytime during regular hours or call Joan at 352-447-2114 to make arrangements.
All proceeds generated from sales at the Shop are given back to the community, and unsold items are donated to Yankeetown School and local area charities such as, Sheriff’s Youth Ranch and Jesus Is.  For questions or information call 352-447-2057 or email: yiwomansclub@gmail.com.
