Chiefland Elementary School students pause on their way to lunch to participate in the presentation of a $500 check by Melanie King Hutchison of the Chiefland Woman's Club, left, to CES Principal Angel Thomas. The money will be used to purchase materials for the “Too Good for Drugs” and “Too Good for Violence” curriculum. The school is gaining a certified counselor through Childhood Development Services and the Levy County Prevention Coalition who will work with students during Special Area. The new class will start at the beginning of the second nine weeks of classes.
