Levy County resident, Kathy Green Hudson, has filed the required paperwork to seek the office of Supervisor of Elections in 2012.
Hudson, a fourth generation Levy County native, was born and raised in Chiefland. She is the daughter of Bob and Martha Dell Barker Green and is married to Resha E. (R.E.) Hudson Jr. The Hudsons have one son, Yancey and a daughter, Shannon. They have two grandchildren, Yancey and Savannah Hudson.
Green-Hudson said that voter registration will be a top priority when elected and she believes that community outreach is necessary to promote countywide education concerning the individual rights and responsibilities of each citizen of Levy County to register and vote.
Green-Hudson said, “I want to insure that the citizens of Levy County have the strongest voice possible and as your Constitutional Officer and Supervisor of Elections I will promote voter education and registration. Every citizen of Levy County is important and our votes are our voice.”
