Webinar Tuesday on restoring Gulf after BP spill

State agencies to air plan


The Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission host a webinar and two public meetings to gather input on the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council’s "Path Forward" document and Florida’s restoration projects.

The webinar is at noon Tuesday, Feb. 26, and registration information can be found here.

Public meetings will be held in Panama City on Thursday, Feb. 28, and in St. Petersburg on March 13. More information can be found here.

In addition, the Gulf Consortium, an interlocal agency of 22 Florida counties that border the Gulf, will meet on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. CST in Panama City. The meeting is at the Gulf Coast State College Student Union East Conference Center, second floor, 5230 W. U.S. Highway 98. 

Levy County Commissioner Ryan Bell is the county's representative on the consortium, and County Coordinator Fred Moody is the alternate.
