When Levy County K-9 Deputy Kevin Kinik went to the Bronson Motel at about 10 a.m. on Monday to arrest Johnny Lee Patterson on an outstanding warrant for violating probation, he not only got his man, but had new charges for Patterson.
Patterson is serving five years probation on grand theft, burglary and trafficking in stolen property charges from Alachua County.
The Levy Sheriff's Office got a tip that Patterson was at the motel. Motel staff allowed Kinick to enter Patterson's room where the suspect was found, along with cash and a bag of cocaine weighing 4.6 grams, according to the Levy County Sheriff's Office.
